Pi-hole
Raspberry Pi 4
PLATFORM OPERATIONAL
Private infrastructure laboratory
A privacy-first platform for storage, automation, media and secure digital services—built to remain understandable, useful and independent.
Core infrastructure
The gateway, DNS, automation, storage and remote Home Assistant roles are separated across dedicated hosts with clearly documented responsibilities.
Core Automation
Raspberry Pi 4 running Docker, Home Assistant, MQTT, reverse proxy and smart-home services.
Storage & Applications
Docker-enabled NAS running Immich, Jellyfin, Glance and private storage workloads.
Network DNS
Dedicated Raspberry Pi 4 providing local DNS and network-wide filtering.
Network topology
The FRITZ!Box provides the internet gateway. Pi-hole handles local DNS, the main Raspberry Pi runs automation and core services, and the UGREEN NAS carries storage-heavy applications. A separate remote Home Assistant server completes the environment.

System overview
The public website intentionally shows no sensitive live telemetry. Operational data stays inside the private network and will later be presented through a separate internal dashboard.

The environment combines everyday services with experimentation in automation, networking, containers and resilient self-hosting.
Important data and services remain under direct control.
Every service should solve a real problem or teach a useful skill.
The platform evolves through documentation, testing and iteration.
